The School Board recognized 21 employees who retired this year. Congratulations to all of the retirees for their support and efforts they provided throughout their years of service to York School District One.

The York Area Optimist Club congratulates Sierra Eddy for being selected as the Optimist Club Student of the Month for the month of March.  Sierra is currently a fourth grade student at Hunter Street Elementary School. She is the daughter of Marissa Leppamaki.
 

March Student and Staff School Board Recognition

At the March school board meeting there were a number of students and staff recognized for their academic and athletic achievements. 

In addition to the recognitions and other business, the Board endorsed the Vision, Mission and Beliefs statements of the district  that has been developed by various community and school publics.  This serves as the guide and support in developing and maintaining a quality program that reflects the district and community's commitment for student success. 

Dual Credit/Middle College Parent Orientation

Are you interested in learning how your child can earn college credit AT LITTLE OR NO COST TO YOU?  Students and parents are invited to our Dual Credit/Middle College Parent Orientation meeting to be held on Tuesday, March 15, in the YCHS Auditorium from 6:30pm-7:45pm.  Parents, come and hear about  all the dual credit opportunities available for your child and learn how your child can earn college credits FOR FREE!  We hope to see you this coming Thursday, March 15, from 6:30-7:45.
