Black History Poster Project

February is designated as Black History Month. Throughout the month, your child will be learning about famous African-Americans who made important contributions to the lives of all who knew them. Those contributions have even changed the world that we live in today!!!

 

Your child will complete an at-home project on a famous African-American of their choosing. (The students chose the person that they wanted to work on today in class.) The students will present their projects in class, and then they will be displayed in the main hallway of the school, along with the black history projects of the other second grade classes.

 

 

This project is due: MonDAY, February 9th.

 

 

Project Requirements:

It must be done on poster board.

It must have a title identifying the person by their full name.

It must contain at least 10 important facts about their person. 

It must contain real pictures of the person.

 

Added Bonuses:

*Colorful

*Glitter, Paint, or some other decorative material

*Decorative Border

*Any other creative design(s)

*Internet
