YSD1 Notification Systems

  • York School District 1 uses several notification systems for parents, staff, and community members.

    Blackboard Mass Notifications is the telephone, email and text messaging system used for emergency notifications (such as school closings and delays), attendance calls, and general notifications from the school district and/or a specific school.

    PowerSchool is the student information system which records student grades and attendance and allows parents to subscribe to notifications via email and mobile apps.

    Canvas permits teachers and students to communicate within the learning management software.
