Weather Closings & Delays
In response to severe weather or other emergency situations, school officials may find it necessary to close school, to delay the opening of school or to dismiss students early.
Please note that decisions concerning school closings are based on conditions across the entire school district. While conditions may appear safe in one area, conditions may not be safe in another area of the distrit. Decisions about school closings, delayed openings or early dismissals are based on the best available information concerning conditions throughout the district.
Please consult the website district social media accounts, and area media outlets for the latest information on school closings and early dismissals. Parents and students are urged not to call schools, administrative offices or radio stations as it is essential that these telephone lines be kept open for communication to schools and media outlets.
No announcements will be made when schools are open and operating on a normal schedule.

The information will also be communicated via the school district's automated phone system, email and text messaging.
