The following update was sent via email, SMS text and district app to all district parents on January 26, 2021:
The District is announcing the following instructional models beginning February 8, 2021.
- Students in PK – Grade 6 will remain in our Modified Hybrid (4+1). They will continue to attend face-to-face school four days per week, with remote/eLearning day on Wednesdays (SEE Day).
- Students in Grade 7 – 8 will pivot in our Modified Hybrid (4+1) on Monday, February 8, 2021. They will begin attending face-to-face school four days per week, with remote/eLearning day on Wednesdays (SEE Day).
- Students in Grades 9 – 12 will continue to attend school on the current Hybrid Model (AA/SEE/BB).
The District remains committed to monitoring our data daily to make operational decisions in the best interest of our students and staff.
Per the YSD1 Reopening Plan, the District will continue to notify families at least two weeks before making any additional changes to the instructional model. The new target date to pivot the High School to the 4+1 Model is February 22, 2021, if it is safe to do so.
