Hello! I became the Leader of the Pack here at Hunter Street in 2014. I graduated from Winthop University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I began my career in York School District One as a sixth grade teacher in 1987.  I also taught third grade, sixth grade GT science, and spent one year as the district Computer Specialist.  I earned my M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Winthrop University and served as Assistant Principal at both Hickory Grove-Sharon Elementary and Hunter Street Elementary School.  I also served as Principal at Jefferson Elementary for 10 years prior to coming to Hunter Street. I love my school and my district deeply and want to serve them well for as long as I am able.

One of my biggest joys in life is being a "dog mom".  I have 3 spoiled dogs - Zoey, Spanky, and Max - who allow me to live in their house.  While I am there, I enjoy reading mystery novels and watching science fiction television shows with at least one of my dogs in my lap. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Woody, since 1982, and we are enjoying growing old together!  He keeps me grounded and makes sure there is never a dull moment in my life.

As an educator for 17 years and 12 years in York School District One, I have served students and families at all levels of their K-12 Education Journey and look forward to serving the Hunter Street Elementary Community for the 2023-2024 school year.
