Mrs. Vicki Revels

My name is Vicki W. Revels. I am the Behavioral Services Coordinator for York District One. I graduated from Belton-Honea Path High School in 1976 and earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Education from Clemson University in 1980. I also obtained my Master of Education degree from Winthrop College in 1985. Later I completed coursework for a Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Pennsylvania State University and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2007.

I am certified in Elementary Education, Learning Disabilities, Educational Mentally Disabled, and Preschool Disabled. I have enjoyed working with many special education students as a Resource teacher and Learning Disabled Teacher in different schools in the district. I developed the district’s first Preschool Disabilities Program and became the program’s first teacher. During my time in the preschool classroom, I taught students who were diagnosed with Autism. I soon discovered that this was my passion and designed and implemented the district’s Applied Behavior Therapy Program in 2004. A lot of people ask me when I am going to retire. I am still very committed to my students and their families. I enjoy training, consulting, and working with our ABT staff and other general and special education teachers and staff in our district. I truly believe that all children want to learn. It is our responsibility to figure out how to help them do this successfully.
