Artistically Gifted Programs - ST-ARTS
A professional faculty of over 45 artists/ teachers in the four visual and performing arts (dance, music, drama, and visual arts) is drawn from a pool of nationally known performing artists, the SC Arts Commission Artists Roster, master teachers from public and private schools, and the Winthrop University faculty. This diverse faculty directs the students through a multi-faceted curriculum daily during the intense 3-week program.

- Auditions will be in-person on Friday, November 18, 2022.

When and where will auditions take place?
Auditions will take place in person- please see link below for flyer with additional details.
- Sixth-grade students will audition at York Intermediate School on November 18, 2022.
- Seventh and eighth-grade students will audition at York Middle School on November 18, 2022.
- Specific times will be sent to applicants closer to the audition date.
How do I know I am selected or not selected to participate in the ST-ARTS program? All students who auditioned will be notified by mail approximately 2 weeks following the auditions.
Where does the ST-Arts program take place? The summer ST-Arts program is held on the campus at Winthrop University the week of June 5 - June 23, 2023, weekdays only, from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
Will there be an Orientation Session? Winthrop University has not made final plans for a May Orientation date at this time and are looking at alternate solutions. We will be sure to notify students and update our information here once Winthrop communicates their decision.
How do I nominate my child? Parents must submit the Nomination Form on the brochure below for their child. Nomination forms MUST BE RECEIVED BY October 13, 2022. (Nominations returned after this date will not be accepted).
