Are you graduation from York School District One? Transferring to another district? You can take many of your online resources with you, using a personal account with the service.

Canva: Canva designs can be shared to personal accounts. Follow the directions on Canva's Support page at  https://www.canva.com/help/copying-designs-before-graduating/

OneDrive: OneDrive resources can be saved to a personal OneDrive account so you can access and work on them after leaving the district.  Directions are at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/onedrive/graduation. 

 

For staff leaving York School District One, accounts in our various district services will be deleted, along with content created under those accounts.  Information is below on saving your content from various district services.

Canvas:

To take your Canvas courses with you to another Canvas district, use these directions from Canvas to Export your Courses to a single file of all the content in a single course.  Repeat these directions for each course you want to take with you, and save these files to a flash drive or other personal online storage.

Canva:

Canva does not have a direct backup feature to save all of your designs at once.  Instead, you can share your designs with another Canva account.  Directions are on Canva's Support page under https://www.canva.com/help/copying-designs-before-graduating/

NOTE: York Canva accounts may include "premium" items that will not transfer over to free Canva accounts; Personal accounts can be upgraded to Premium accounts for a monthly fee.

KickUp:

Prior to leaving the district, teachers can pull a copy of their professional development transcript from KickUp for potential use in other districts.  View and print your transcript by following these directions

OneDrive:

Prior to leaving the district, staff can download their OneDrive files to a personal computer. No documents with student data may be saved to personal devices and used following your employment with the district.

Downloading files via the web:

• Navigate to your OneDrive files at www.office.com.
• Hover over the folder or file you wish to download and click the bubble in on the left.

• Click the Download button to download the file to your computer.

 

Downloading files via Windows Explorer

• On your personal computer, sign into OneDrive with your district account (if not already done). Open your OneDrive folder.

• Select the contents of the OneDrive folder by clicking on the folder you wish to copy.
• Press Ctrl + C to copy the highlighted items.

Now, Paste the items in any location you wish. The Documents folder works fine.

• Open the Documents folder
• Press Ctrl + V to paste the files

We use several services that you may have used in a previous district, and you may have resources that you wish to bring with you.  Below are some resources that may be helpful:

Canvas:

In your previous Canvas account, export your Course content. and save it somewhere (flash drive, cloud storage, etc)

After logging into York's Canvas instance, create a new Course.  In that new course, import the course content. from your previous district into the new Course. 

Repeat this process for each course you wish to import.

Canva:

Direct Canva transfers are not available, but Canva designs can be shared and saved to a Personal Canva account, then shared and saved into the YSD1 Canva instance.  Follow these directions to copy your designs into a personal account, then you can share them into the YSD1 Canva instance once your account is ready.
