Hi my name is Lisa Adams. I am a Montessori Assistant at Hunter Street Elementary School. I have been at Hunter Street Elementary School for 17 years. I am married to my husband Gregg Adams ,and we have three wonderful children, and three beautiful grandchildren. I love my job and what I do at Hunter Street. On my free time I enjoy going to the beach, going to the movies, and spending time with my family.

My name is Callie Billings and I have been a nurse for 21 years.  This is my 7^th year at Hunter Street.

I have been married for 21 years and have 2 sweet girls.  We love our new puppy, a golden doodle who is now 8 months old. 

When I am not at school, you can find me either at Holden Beach or at my crafting table.

Instructional Assistant -  Kindergarten

My name is Melia Elizabeth Burley. I grew up in York, South Carolina and went to Hunter Street Elementary when I was a child. My passion is working with children, and I've worked with kids for five years now. This is my second year at Hunter Street Elementary. I also served as an intern youth leader at Tirzah ARP for two summers. I have an associates degree in Early Care and Education. My twin sister Megan works in education as well. I have two fur babies - a huge chocolate lab named Beau and a shitzu named Boomer.  I also enjoy photography and cooking.

My name is Mandy Campbell. I've been employed with York School District for 13 years. I'm very excited to join the Hunter Street family and look forward to meeting my new students and coworkers.

My husband and I will celebrate our 25th anniversary this year. We are the proud parents of two adult children. Our Doberman, Labradoodle and guinea pig complete our family.

I enjoy traveling to Edisto Island, Charleston, the mountains and hiking. My favorite sports teams are the Clemson Tigers and the Atlanta Braves. 

Instructional Assistant - Preschool Support

My name is Amber Cudd, and I am an instructional assistant in preschool support. I have been with preschool support since 2016. I grew up in York County, but now live in Chester County with my husband and our two beautiful children.  I have a degree as a medical assistant but have loved working with children for as long as I can remember. Coming from a big family, and the oldest of 4 children, working with children just comes naturally to me. In my spare time, I love to be outside playing with our dogs, swimming, and taking walks in our neighborhood. I also love to shop and spend time with my family.

Instructional Assistant - Preschool Support

Hi! My name is Mrs. Gibson, and I am very excited to be a part of Hunter Street Elementary. I am looking forward to the many fun adventures we will be having together! I will be in Catherine Adkins class as an assistant. Teacher Assistant is a passion of mine. I have done it for five years now.

I was born in Bradenton, Florida and moved to York shortly thereafter. I love all animals. I have a big loveable and goofy dog named Buddy, who is part pit and great dane.  In my spare time I love to go hiking. As long as I am outside, I am happy. Currently, I go to Clover Liberty Church and my family loves it.  We also do a lot of missionary work and volunteer work. My favorite season is fall.

Hello all, I am one of the Kindergarten Instructional Assistants. I graduated from York Technical College with an Associate in Applied Science, Majoring in Early Care and Education. This year is my first year at HSES, and I could not be more thrilled to join this incredible team! I have a passion for understanding how children learn and develop and love to see them grow and thrive.

In my free time, I can usually be found at home or around the area spending time with my son and fiancé! I look forward to having a fantastic year filled with fun, lots of learning, and new adventures! I cannot wait to see all your smiling faces!

Behavior Interventionist

Hello, my name is Lorchele Howard, and I am the Behavior Interventionist at Hunter Street Elementary. My job is to help support students and teachers, which I enjoy very much. I help students eliminate or replace negative behaviors with positive actions. I fully believe in supporting the whole child in the education setting. I have worked in private, residential, charter and public-school settings for a total of 24 years. I attended the College of Central Florida and graduated with a degree in Child Development as well as certifications and training in ABT, ADHD, and behavior interventions. I am currently attending Clemson University for a BSTC certification to help better serve in my position. I have lived in York, South Carolina for the last 15 years and I am a proud mother of 2 girls, 2 dogs and 1 bearded dragon. My favorite things are pizza, crafts, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. My passion is adventures and I enjoy skiing, whitewater rafting, snorkeling, mountain hiking, traveling and new experiences. Most of all of love serving others and being involved in mission work.

Hi, my name is Angela (Kathy) Kowal.  I am excited to join the staff at Hunter Street Elementary School as a 4K Teaching Assistant. We will make lots of memories this year. 

My husband, Paul and I  moved to South Carolina 8 years ago from Western New York.  We have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. On my time off I travel to see my family in California and North Carolina.  I enjoy going to the beach, boating, fishing  and reading.

Hi! I’m Nona Lane and I am an Instructional Assistant at Hunter Street Elementary.

I am originally from Victorville, California, but have spent most of my life in York, South Carolina. I have been married to my husband, Wes Lane, for 22 years and we have 3 beautiful daughters: Denae, Kennedy and Carrigan! We also have 2 pets: our 10-year-old Shitzu, Buster, and our sweet cat Dolly that we adopted 2 years ago. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies and house shopping!

I was a substitute teacher for 6 years before becoming an Instructional Assistant in 2019. This is my third year in the Transition Class and I absolutely love it!

My name is Carrie Neal and I am thrilled to be a part of Hunter Street Elementary! After many years in education with Rock Hill schools in both kindergarten and Montessori classrooms, I finally feel like I’m home. How lucky am I to spend my days with our students and instill a love of learning?

My favorite job is being a Mama to our 3 children; Molly, Jack, and Banks. I married into a family that bleeds garnet and black, so on the weekends you can find me with my husband cheering on the Gamecocks or cruising the lake on our pontoon. I’ve never found a sweet treat, taco, or red Coca-Cola that I don’t like.

Hi! My name is Allison Nestlehutt and I have been a 4k assistant for 3 years. Prior to this I worked in the Computer Lab where I fell in love with the classroom structure and decided to begin my degree in Early Childhood. 

I love watching the students come in at the beginning of the year and bloom in their skills. 

I am married to my husband Adam and together we have a spunky little girl, Evelyn who loves to dance. We love to watch movies, travel, and serve at our church.

Hello Husky Community!  My name is Wanda Maria Reid and I am a native of York, SC , a proud 1980 graduate of the first York Comprehensive High School when we historically had 3 colors and 3 mascots! I know some of you are smiling or shaking your head! I attended Spelman College, Atlanta, GA and Winthrop University, Rock Hill and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a concentration in Marketing & Broadcast Journalism, Currently, I am enrolled in the Inaugural  class of Voorhees College Ctr of Excellence pursuing my Masters of Arts in Education Innovation and Certification.

I've spent over twenty lucrative years in Sales and Marketing and the Radio Industry but moved to Education after a desire to change careers headed towards retirement. I credit my parents, both educators, for my love for people, politics, education and a zeal for public speaking. My parents taught me to give of yourself and your gifts will be returned to you. Hence, my passion of mentoring young women and helping to enhance their transition into finer womanhood. What better way to begin with the children here at Hunter Street.

I am a 23 year cervival cancer survivor and currently on a healing journey against Breast Cancer. My volunteerism in the community is very important as I give time to my city, church, several local and national non-profit organizations including American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, York County Alzhiemer's Assoc. and serving as President of the local chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. 

I'm single, an avid shoe shopper, love music, public speaking, spending time as "Auntie" with my nieces and raising my Shitzu "Prince".

My name is Courtney Thompson. I grew up in Chester, SC where I graduated from Chester High School in 1999. I moved to Rock Hill, SC, and began to work for the York County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs. As years passed, I dreamed of continuing my education, so I decided to enroll at York Technical College in 2012, where I received my Associate in Applied Science, Majoring in Early Care and Education with credentials in Special Education in 2015.

I’ve been with York School District for 7 years as an Applied Behavior Therapist Assistant. 

My husband and I have 2 children 18 & 25. We enjoy spending time at the beach, family game night, and Sunday dinners. 

I’m looking forward to my new journey here at Hunter Street with lots of new learning adventures!

My name is Devyon Williams I am from York, SC. I played football and graduated from YCHS in 2015. I attended St. Augustines University and played football there as well. In 2019 I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in psychology. I also am a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.  This will be my third year being a Teacher Assistant and coaching Middle School Football for York.  I live in Charlotte,NC with my wife and I have a lot of nieces and nephews.
