My name is Tracie Clinton and I was raised in Clover, South Carolina.  I am married to Danny Clinton and we have one son named Carson.  As a family, we enjoy watching and supporting Carson’s passion of baseball.  We are also proud residents of York where my husband owns his own business and I have taught since 2002.   

Family and work keep me busy. However, when I have spare moments, I enjoy walking, reading, working in my yard, and shopping.  I also love visiting the beach where I can relax.  My family has our own little farm where we have dogs, cows, and pigs.   

My teaching career began in North Carolina where I taught first and fifth grades.  Then I moved to York and taught third grade at Cotton Belt Elementary for ten years. I moved to Harold C. Johnson to teach second grade when the school was remodeled.  Teaching has been a passion of mine since I was a child.  I am blessed to have a job that is rewarding in many ways.

My name is Taylor Greene and I love teaching second grade at Harold C. Johnson! I am originally from Clover, SC. I graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. I taught third grade my first year, but have been in second grade ever since. I am so very excited to be working with the wonderful students, staff, and families at HCJ!

I love spending time with my family. When I am not teaching, you can find me hanging out with my best friend and husband Josh. We have a daughter that keeps us active and on our toes. My parents own a restaurant that I waitress at during the summer. A few of my favorite things include spending time at the beach, reading, and playing with my dog Winston.

I am Katheleen Summerville, a 2nd grade teacher here at HCJ.  Before teaching second grade, I taught third grade and was a reading interventionist for HCJ.  I have also taught kindergarten in the Clover School District.

I graduated from Winthrop University in 2003 with an Early Childhood degree and have earned graduate coursework through Clemson University’s Early Literacy Reading Program.  I love to learn new and creative ways to better inform my students. 

My name is Monica Thomas. I am from Shelby, NC. I am so excited and blessed to be working at HCJ, truly the best elementary school out there! I went to college at Western Carolina University in NC where I got my bachelors in Elementary Education. 

I have been teaching second grade for many years and love it! I love to see my students grow into their reading and personalities at this age. 

I have a daughter who brings my life so much joy. She is the best thing that has happened to me!

 My favorite place is our family lake house. There is nothing better than relaxing by the lake, taking boat rides, swimming and laughing with family. I have a huge family and we do LOTS of things together- we call each other McMurry Nation. It is great to know you always have someone in your corner and that is what family means to me.
