Mrs. Tracie Clinton

My name is Tracie Clinton and I was raised in Clover, South Carolina. I am married to Danny Clinton and we have one son named Carson who is in entering the sixth grade. We are proud residents of York where my husband owns his own business, and I have taught for sixteen years. Family and work keeps me busy; however, when I have spare moments I enjoy walking, reading, working in my yard, and shopping. I also love watching my son play baseball throughout the year. We have two beagles that are dear to our family, and we are currently adding cows to our little farm.

This year will be my nineteenth year teaching as I also taught for 3 years in North Carolina. I have taught grades 1, 2, 3, and 5. I began my years in York teaching at Cotton Belt but moved to Harold C. Johnson to teach second grade when the school was remodeled. Teaching has been passion of mine since I was a child. I am blessed to have a job that is rewarding in many ways.

My name is Taylor Greene and this is my second year of teaching. I graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. In college, I completed my year-long internship here at Harold C. Johnson in second grade. Last year I taught third grade and am very excited to be moving to second grade. I am looking forward to a wonderful year!

Away from school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My parents own a restaurant that I waitress at during the summer. This past April I got married. My niece and nephews keep me very active. A few of my favorite things include spending time at the beach, reading, and playing with my puppy Winston.

This is my 18th year in education, 10 years teaching 3rd grade, and this is my 8th in 2nd grade. I love being at Harold C Johnson teaching 2nd grade. When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, kids, and grandson. We have 3 cats and 1 dog at home that keep us very entertained. In my free time I enjoy taking long walks, relaxing on the beach, reading great books, taking photos of people, and making crafts. Some interesting things about me are: I have lived in 4 different states and before I became a teacher and I groomed dogs!

I am so excited to be part of the Harold C. Johnson family as a second grade teacher! I went to Shelby High School (Go Golden Lions!) where I first started taking classes for Early Education. I attended Western Carolina University where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Early Education. While attending WCU, I did my student teaching in a first grade classroom at Cherokee Elementary School on the Indian Reservation. When I graduated I worked as a third grade assistant in Cleveland County for a year. For the past 6 years I have been a second grade teacher in Charlotte, NC.

My husband and I moved to Rock Hill 3 years ago and we love living in York County. Last year, I had a baby girl and she is the greatest joy of my life! I love to shop, especially for clothes for her. My family has a lake house on Lake James and it is my happy place~ there is nothing like swimming and riding in a boat while seeing the mountains all around you!
