The South Carolina College-and Career-Ready Assessments (SC READY) program is a statewide assessment in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics administered to students in Grades 3–8.
The South Carolina Palmetto Assessment of State Standards (SCPASS) is a statewide assessment program in Science and Social Studies for students in elementary and middle school. For the 2020-2021 SY, the SCPASS program will assesses Science in Grade 4 and Grade 6.
SC READY and SCPASS programs meet requirements as set forth by the Education Accountability Act (EAA). All students in Grades 3–8 are required to take SC READY and SCPASS except those students with significant cognitive disabilities who qualify for the South Carolina Alternate Assessment (SC-Alt).
SCREADY and SCPASS assessments are not timed and will be delivered in a computer-based format except for students who cannot take online assessments due to their disabilities, as specified in their IEP, 504, or ILAP.
