Lifeline Internet Access

  • Beginning April 22, 2016, AT&T began offering the Access program from AT&T (“Access from AT&T”) to qualifying households within the 21 states where AT&T offers wireline Internet service. This new offer provides low-income households with an affordable, low-cost option for home Internet service. AT&T’s program will be offered to households with at least one resident that participates in the government’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Comporium offers a similar program through their Lifeline Program.

You can visit www.att.com/access or https://www.comporium.com/lifeline-program-internet/ to learn more about the offer and the eligibility requirements.

Wired high-speed services and the Lifeline program are not available in all areas of our district.

Additionally, the York County Library is now making T-Mobile HotSpots available for checkout for two weeks at a time.  More information is on the library's website at https://www.yclibrary.org/hotspots.

This is not an endorsement of one provider over another but is intended to alert you of an opportunity for low-cost broadband for low-income homes.
