District offers summer meals for children at no cost
Beginning June 16, 2021, York School District One will provide meals at no cost to all children 18 and under each Wednesday. Families may pick up seven breakfast and seven lunch meals each Wednesday in June and July at one of two different locations in the district.

Face Coverings in School: Updated Information
Per Governor McMaster’s Executive Order 2021-23, DHEC has provided the district with an official form allowing parents/guardians, on behalf of their student, to opt-out of wearing face coverings in school buildings and facilities. At an emergency called School Board meeting on May 12th, York School District One Board of Trustees voted to amend policy ADD Face Coverings to allow any student with a completed DHEC form on file to be exempt from wearing face coverings in school buildings and facilities.
