At tonight's installation of CATE student officers, the American Heart Association-Charlotte along with the OrthoCarolina Foundation presented CPR and AED kits to York Comprehensive High School. The CPR in Schools kits will be used to teach several hundred students and teachers over the next several years in the potentially life-saving technique, potentially tripling the chance of survival of cardiac arrest.
