Sheila DeLuca-Levesque Named Coordinator of Accountability and Testing
Mrs. Sheila DeLuca-Levesque has been selected to serve as the new Coordinator of Accountability and Testing for York School District One.
Mrs. Levesque comes to York School District One after most recently serving as Principal of Saint Michael Catholic School in Gastonia, North Carolina, a role she has filled since 2015. As principal, Mrs. Levesque led a school that achieved 100% high growth in 7th and 8th-grade mathematics and language arts and received numerous grants and awards. Mrs. Levesque created a teacher cadet program, initiated professional development courses, and designed education programs tailored to student needs based on assessment data, analysis, and results. She has worked to cultivate an environment that encourages open communication with colleagues, students, district leadership, and the community.
Mrs. Levesque earned her Master of Education degree from Cambridge College in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and lives in Waxhaw, North Carolina, with her husband and two daughters. She begins her new role in January 2020.
